Excellent and cheaper alternative for visit to Tarangire NP. View is astonishing, also from the lodges. Good pro-active service. Excellent quality tents, good sanitary facilities. Very nice swimming pool, excellent for relax after a long days drive. Buffet with variety of European and African food. Good lunch box service.

The activity consist in visiting the local ethnic group to learn about their traditions and way of living.

The lodge has a main building raised on a wood and concrete platform, with extra-ordinary views to the Tarangire National Park and to Lake Burunge, that includes an area to relax with comfortable sofas, outside and inside dining and a swimming pool. Every evening a camp fire is lit and guests can enjoy the sunset with drinks and appetizers. Weather permitting dinner will be served outside under the stars.

Lake Burunge Tented Lodge
Lake Burunge Tented Lodge is situated on the banks of Lake Burunge, within a 25,000-foot natural protection area managed by the Mbugwe tribe since 2003. The Tarangire National Park is a 20-minute drive away.
Air companies fly on schedule and charter basis to and from Arusha to the Manyara Airstrip on daily basis. Flights take aproximately 25 minutes. Its possible to connect with flights to and from Serengeti and Zanzibar.
134 km, aproximately 2 hours from Arusha. Take A104, 29 km after Minjingu on the right side you will see a sign to Burunge on your left. Take the bush road, and drive 6 km hour scenic drive on a tarmac road.
