Precautions against COVID-19, update

Dear Traveler,

All of our properties are currently closed until 1st June 2020.

Tanganyika Wilderness Camps (TWC)  web is working in order to overcome the current Covid-19 pandemic that has been affecting everyone for the last couple of months. Due to the spread of Covid-19 worldwide we are getting ready to offer you, once you are back, the highest guarantees of health and comfort. Thus, we are implementing new security measures in all our facilities, that remain closed at the moment, making sure they will be fully operational by the time all our hotels are opened.

Please be informed that the following first measures have been introduced in all of our properties in accordance with the Covid-19 protocols.

  • Security in our properties:

Nobody is allowed in or out of the properties.

All of the staff confined in the properties have tested negative of Covid-19.

  • Frequency of room and common area cleaning: 

All of our properties are undergoing full fumigation: bed rooms /kitchens/lounges/dining rooms/main areas etc.

Hand sanitizers are available in rooms and common areas.

Only 10 dedicated employees are on each site.

  • Staff hygiene practices:

All staff confined in our properties have tested negative of any Convid-19 symtoms.

Comprehensive hygiene and socializing protocols are being followed.

Health insurance is covered by the company.

  • Committed to conservation and to our staff:

Most of our staff is being paid annual leave in April and May.

All staff is provided with full health insurance which covers 8 members of a family.

There has been a reduction of staff. They are being paid according to the Tanzania Labor Law and will be first to be reinstated once the situation recovers.

Directors and Management have reduced their salaries by 70%.

 

We keep our commitment and the financial support to the projects of:

 

Emusoi School web, Masai girls school located in Arusha and the De-Snaring Project in Serengeti, web.

 

The De-Snaring Project, is a joint conservation initiative of the Frankfurt Zoological Society, Serengeti National Park (SENAPA) and Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA).

 

Olmoti Clinic in West Kilimanjaro, web. The project is a social initiative to improve the living conditions of the Masai community in West Kilimanjaro.

Finally, we would like to express our desire that this situation can be soon reversed and we can welcome you again. Tanganyika Wilderness Camps is happy to continue to help you as we always have.
