Masek Under Canvas is a seasonal camp situated in one of the best areas in Serengeti to observe the spectacle of the Migration. From December to March it is location close to lake Masek and with views of the Ndutu woods, situated between the Serengeti plains and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in the north east.
With the Great Migration at the doors of the camp, guests can choose to observe the spectacle from the very door of their tent or venture out and explore the remote corners of Serengeti with its overwhelming wildlife diversity.
There are only ten tents in the camp, which allows guests to enjoy exclusiveness and comfort combined with the authenticity of the surrounding nature, the isolation of the African savannah and the experience of a safari.

10 spacious tents with private bathroom (a camp shower, wash basin and toilet) and a large double bed or two single beds. Electricity is provided by solar panels.

The restaurant and lounge are situated in two comfortable tents which are comfortably furnished. A selection of board games and books are available for guests to enjoy between safaris.
The dining room tent has an outdoor and indoor area.

GAME DRIVE IN SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Departure early in the morning or afternoon. Guests can enjoy a game drive in a 4×4 open vehicle lasting about 2 to 3 hours or a full day depending on how the day is organized.
A HOT AIR BALLOON SAFARI
In the morning enjoy an hour on safari in a hot air balloon in the clear blue African sky with the savannah, its flora and fauna at your feet. And after the flight enjoy a picnic breakfast.
VISIT THE MUSEUM AND OLDUVAI GORGE
The camp is situated an hour’s drive from this important archaeological site where Louis and Mary Leakey carried out important discoveries.

WALK SAFARI IN NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA
In Ngorongoro Conservation Area we can find two of the most interesting and well known places of Tanzania, the impressive Ngorongoro Crater and Olduvai Gorge, one of the most important places for the research of the human evolution.
